Chapter One.
Stuck on a bus with three guys with nothing to do can get a tad boring. Okay I’m lying. It gets fucking boring. We’ve been driving for the past six hours and we’re still not there. I think the driver got lost or something, I don’t know… Fifteen years and they still don’t tell us what the hell’s going on. Psh. Whatever.
We were doing fine for the first two hours. After that…. Well things slowly started going south. Let’s just say Brian and Nick aren’t too happy with each other. Something to do with the Nintendo and an intense game of Super Mario Bros. more about that later though. After that incident Brian started to get tired so he went to go take a nap. Howie said he was gonna call management and see what was going on; he said this two hours ago. He’s been on the phone since. Now it’s just me and Nick sitting here in the back of the bus with nothing to do, bored out of our minds.
“Let‘s do something.” Nick says for the billionth time in the last ten minutes.
“What the hell do you want to do Nick? We‘re going forty miles an hour in the middle of nowhere. You wanna jump into oncoming traffic? I didn‘t think so. You and Brian broke the Nintendo so that‘s not an option. The-”
“Hey! That wasn‘t my fault!”
Casting him a skeptical look I tell him “Not your fault? You tore out the fuckin‘ wire! How is that not your fault?”
“Brian was cheating.” Nick states, as if that’s just supposed to explain his actions. With a light chuckle and a shake of my head I decide to let it go. Seeing as how Nick has his arms crossed and that tell tale pout on his lips.
“Okay Nick. It doesn‘t matter, alright? It‘s over and done with. What do you want to do?” I say trying to sound as positive as I can about actually finding something to do.
“I know! Let‘s play a game!” He says, his eyes lighting up.
“What kind of game?” Seeing the look in Nick’s eyes makes me both excited and scared.
“Okay well I‘m gonna ask you a series of yes or no questions really quickly and you gotta answer them as fast as you can.” Figuring I had nothing to lose and I didn’t have any better ideas, I agreed. Hm, wasn’t that a mistake….
